WHICH FINDER Series (2026) All of my paintings are psychological self-portraits. I like problems (I could be the problem, lol), and I like solving them. I work on many paintings at once, moving through a large mind garden of possibilities, tending, changing, disturbing, discovering and returning to them. Some are ready to become themselves; others need more time. I don’t always know which one will ripen next, and that is part of the pleasure. The work itself becomes the inspiration—the whole garden rather than any single painting. I explore the possibilities inside the structures I create, looking for what can emerge and what is ready to be found. Patience is part of the process. So is play, persistence, and the pleasure of solving a problem without knowing exactly where it will lead. Eventually a painting separates from the others and becomes independent. Which is ecstasy.
